Paving a Pathway Home: The Wilkins Family
Your compassion has touched families like the Wilkins family in ways that are nothing short of life-changing. Their unsafe home had dangerous electrical problems and structural resulting in the home being condemned. Imagine the fear, the uncertainty, the heartbreak of losing your home. For months, they bounced between hotels and the couches of friends, holding onto hope.
Then Theresa (pseudonym) found SSPADS. And because of supporters like you, we were able to place her family in temporary housing when they had nowhere else to turn.
Their case worker became a lifeline helping them secure safe, stable housing, making sure they had clothing and meals, and guiding both the mother and grandmother through the overwhelming process of applying for Section 8, Social Security, and unemployment benefits.
Today, the Wilkins family is living in stable housing, and both the mother and grandmother stated: "We are blessed for SSPADS and all the staff that helped us to get where we are today. If it wasn't for PADS, we wouldn't have this house today". This is what your generosity makes possible.
