Spring is on the way, and with it comes warm weather and beautiful blossoming flowers. The season represents a fresh start or even a change for the community. Together we can help our community blossom with your support for SSPADS.

Debra lost her job when she got sick. She tried to work two part-time jobs, but it was impossible. After several surguries, she applied for early retirement and disability

Debra found herself homeless. She found out about SSPADS through another wonderful partner organization of SSPADS, Respond Now. Her case manager there diligently helped her apply for housing and secured her a spot at an SSPADS building.

Debra says, "Sometimes you can hit rock bottom and just want to stay there. But I want to move up. SSPADS is a place where I can do that."

Your generosity helped make a difference in Debra's life. When she moved into to her new home, she got everything she needed for her apartment, from towels, sheets, furniture, and more. Debra expressed that she feels secure and well taken care of in SSPADS housing.

Her SSPADS case manager continues to let her know about any additional programs available. He also gives her resources for local food pantries and lets her know of events going on in the building or nearby that might interest her. In March, Debra said, "Today I am doing fantastic because of SSPADS." She feels like she is in a safe haven because she is no longer out on the street.
